e4i’s mission is to design systems that are sustainable, inclusive, equitable and circular in the Food and Healthcare sectors. As our world changes and evolves, our systems have more than less stayed the same. Our systems need to start evolving as new technology and global issues arise. We saw from the global pandemic of COVID-19 that our Food and Healthcare systems have system gaps and that these systems need some attention to. e4i’s mission is to help Food tech and Healthcare businesses in building and improving systems by designing services and products that work within the system.
Build and design services and products that are sustainable, inclusive, equitable and circular that help build and improve systems. Our goal is to design services and products that work with our natural Earth’s systems and tackle global issues involving the Food and Health Sectors.
When designing products that are better for our planet, we have to take into account the environment in part of the design process. Designing products that are part of the environment systems can help create a virtuous cycle can benefit not only our health but the world's heath. Together, we can create systems that work parallel and/or within the natural systems that our world has.
Life-centered design means taking our natural systems of the world into the design process. Putting the natural systems at the centered of the design process can help solve some of the global issues that we currently face and help us reach our Sustainable Goals. For example, planting various crop seeds that work together to keep the soil healthy, or creating biodegradable packaging that can be planted underneath the grass. Having the natural systems at the center of the design process, can help reduce waste and plastic dependencies, grow climate resilient crops and reduce carbon and methane production. These are just a few solutions that can help reduce climate change effects. This in return can help curb world hunger or clean oceans and water sources and/or keep the world from warming to 1.5 C just to name a few outcomes.
The core part of each solution we design is centered on life-design. Life-design focuses on our planet and all living things. We take into account how our design solutions will affect our environment, our society and other living things, not just humans. We ask questions and find ways on how we can create solutions that work with Earth’s natural systems. Each solution we bring out will be sustainable, inclusive, equitable and circular that feed into the system.
